The Ole Style Deli - Tampa

This restaurant brings back memories of my childhood in Brooklyn, but the staff is exceptionally courteous. The Reuben sandwich was amazing, and the potato salad has that delicious homemade flavor. It's slightly off the beaten path, but it's the best-kept secret in downtown Tampa. Treat yourself to a meal here; you won't regret it.

I absolutely love this restaurant! We visit quite often for lunch. They offer a wide selection on their menu, along with several daily specials. The chicken salad, whether you choose it as a sandwich or on a bed of lettuce, is outstanding. If you opt for the salad, I highly recommend getting the house-made Italian dressing—it's delicious! Everything I've ordered so far has been great, but I keep returning for the chicken salad. Additionally, if you ask, they will bring out sliced garlic dill pickles, which are fantastic! We usually go with a group of 6 to 8 people, and I appreciate that there are always tables set up to accommodate larger groups.

My lunch companion canceled on me today, so I decided to place an order for a Corned Beef grinder on rye. I must say, I was really impressed with the generous portion of meat in the sandwich; I definitely left feeling full. The slaw on the sandwich was fantastic—a bit sweet, but it complemented the rye perfectly. The young girl behind the counter was incredibly friendly and managed the transaction smoothly. I’ll definitely be coming back to eat here again!

Good place to get a nice lunch for a reasonable price. There are daily specials that reoccur from week to week. I like to go on Thursdays to get the meatloaf that comes with mashed potato, gravy, salad, and bread, all for about $7.50. What a delicious deal. The owner and staff are always cheerful and friendly.

I had the pulled pork of deli food....the Reuben. Easy to get right. Easy to mess up. Happy to say that the sauerkraut was tangy and the bread toasted to perfection. If you like an old style pickle that puckers the head, you won't walk away disappointed either! Delicious.
