Be Calm Buzz On - Tampere

Good restaurant with delicious food for very decent prices (compared to Finnish standards) we would definitely come back here! the service was very good with a beautiful waitress who took care of us! not too busy on Wednesday!

We were here for dinner with a big group. there were some tables next to us. the food was delicious and cheap. the grashüpfer bowl is you have to try.

After sitting in the restaurant for 20 minutes and no answer service decided to go.

After a somewhat late arrival in Tampere I just went for dinner to the restaurant of the hotel I was staying, the same as on my last trip in 2016: Scandic Tampere City. I couldn 't remember though that the restaurant back then had that funny name 'Be Calm and Buzz On '. It is also the same place, where one finds the rich breakfast buffet in the mornings. Having stayed several times already in Scandic hotels, not just in Finland, I got a membership in the 'Scandic Friends ' program. On that evening for example I could see that for them a 'Club Sandwich ' and a 'Bio Merlot ' red wine were offered for a greatly reduced price during August. Service was very friendly and I could charge my room.

Solo hotel stay during Covid limitations. It was later than five o’clock so no alcohol containing drinks were possible to order due to regulations. Had just entree pork neck cooked slow and low coupled with grilled tomatoes, broccolini and country potato wedges. Amazing it was. Broccolini best I’ve tasted and ten times better than my version I thought was good. And pork neck itself just amazing. Due to pandemic there were only few other diners and sevice was quick, really friendly and of good standard. Food came out in 10 mins or so. I am a regular visitor of this hotel, but usually have dined in bar instead. Today was first time I saw new decor of restaurant and I really like it. There are plenty of great restaurants in Tampere, but now this is a real option and if weather is bad a superb option. Well done, Scandic!
