Bistro 14 - Tampere

We decided to have an early dinner at this restaurant. Despite being the only customers at the time, we had to wait for our food for an hour. The Moussaka was overly salty and burnt on top, and the chicken skewer was also burnt. We brought this to the attention of the waiter, but did not receive a response. This visit will be our last to this restaurant.

Visited this restaurant for the second time for the lunch buffet and both times we weren't disappointed; a variety of mezes followed by 3 4 main courses, coffee tea and a cake; price quality ratio is really good BUT: if you sit near the bar in the lower level DO NOT LOOK into the bar area it's dirty and spoils the appetite. The owner should really do something about it (minimum cover the area by a curtain)

Again full of hungry people, please remember to reserve. Warm and friedly service. For start delicious mezes. Main course lamb skewer. One star missing, because wine list was very short today. But the compensatory red vine was fine as well. Highly recommended! Thanks Onni Leo.

We came to the restaurant with a friend to celebrate my birthday. First male server was extremely nice to us, guided us to the table and gave recommendations regarding food and wine when asked. The drinks came quick and we didn 't have to wait for the food that long either. Mid meal our server was changed to a female. She barely spoke to us, was visibly pissed off when we asked in more specific about the desert. We thought maybe she didn 't quite understand us, but the way she was was tense. We waited a long time to get the bill as she dodged us and hid behind the bar. She finally brought them and said I had white wine. I corrected it was red and her reaction was well it 's the same price for all of them anyway . The food was really good, absolutely nothing to complain about. The portions were big so definitely you get what you pay for! Only this one server made our meal a bit uncomfortable and negative.

I absolutely love this restaurant. Today, I went there for lunch with a colleague and it is located right across from the railway station. The lunch package is a great deal - excellent appetizers (I had chicken salad with goat cheese and potatoes), a soup, a variety of cakes and bread (they allow you to serve yourself as much or as little as you want), and it also includes dessert, coffee, or tea, all for 10 euros (which is an amazing deal in Finland). The service is very friendly, the atmosphere is charming, and it is currently my favorite spot in Tampere. I've heard that dinner can be a bit fancier and more expensive, but it seems like it would definitely be worth it.
