Lovely little restaurant that does fantastic food and very helpful staff

Visit here regularly for lunch and breakfast. Food has always been good and service very pleasant. Today we decided to go for Sunday Lunch as we had heard it’s the best ! Oh dear very disappointing. At £22 for a trio of meats that was very sparse and nothing special on my plate . And just about warm . I can’t tell you how disappointed we was . Such a shame as normally the food is good. Delightful place for coffee or light meals, pleasant surroundings with good service. Quality of food excellent. Went recently and whilst breakfast was still excellent I begrudge being charged extra for sour dough toast when offers as one of a choice option to white or brown. Came to the forest rest this morning for some breakfast and we really enjoyed it! Atmosphere was great food is delicious and the staff couldn’t have done enough! Huge shout out to Amy extremely accommodating and couldn’t have done enough for us!
