Tapachtlan

We went there during a excursion organized by Seabourn Cruise Lines. We tested 3 different tequila and 3 different margaritas. We both preferred the Guava M. We ordered beef tacos and mols. All dishes are great and recommend the Hôtel and Restaurant.

There is a new menu in Tapachtlan that rolls out on September 1. Some great new dishes come to the original favorites, and the special breakfasts (an upgrade to the basic breakfasts included with the room price) continue to be spectacular. As I said, this is really good in Tapachula. In view of the quality of food and ambience, prices are quite appropriate. Do not consider visiting Tapachula without eating at least one meal here.

This is the restaurant of the Casona Maya hotel. It is definitely the place for fine dining in Tapachula. I don't believe any other restaurant even comes close. Besides the high quality of the food and the ambiance, the pricing is extremely reasonable. Unless I have a serious craving for tacos, I don't eat anywhere else while in Tapachula. Wonderful selection...not to be missed if you enjoy good food. I will be back.

Often I visit the Casa Mexicana. I always enjoy their breakfast food/service in the garden...it's enchanting and the right kind of start for a day in Tapachula (shopping mostly on my trips)...they now serve lunch and dinner and we waited until the last night to dine there...BIG MISTAKE...I believe I would have had several more meals there if I had known exactly how delicious dinner would be (I still want to do lunch on my return visit). Fui a desayunar y me pareció un muy buen lugar para disfrutar de un rico desayuno mexicano. El lugar es agradable, la decoración es muy ecléctica, la atención fue amable y rápida. La comida de muy buen sabor, la recomendación es el omelet Tepachtlan.
