The menu is beautiful and they make it easy to select your dish. They are not open late for dinner, but open early for breakfast, and the breakfast menu is just what everyone is looking for for breakfast from a Mexican restaurant. It is a family business and I can emphasize enough how you need to come and check out this place. The flavors of the dishes are exceptional and I hope that this place will thrive. The right place for Tarzana. I ask you to edit the menu and try something outside your comfort zone. The aromas blow your mind. My red Snapper Burrito was sooo fresh and tasty. I will definitely come back for more, including a lot of breakfast to go Burritos.
Visiting LA from New Mexico. Stopped at this awesome little hot spot for lunch. AMAZING FOOD, friendly staff and a clean and inviting atmosphere. I travel a lot to the LA area and this will definitely be a spot I get to every chance I get! To bad there are only five stars.
This place probably has the most beautiful Mexican food I had in LA. I like her ribs, her nopales and obviously her handmade tortillas. Ten out of ten.
Pros: The handmade tortillas were authentic and delicious, the lengua was juicy and tender, and would have been even better with a little salt. The asada was good and well-seasoned but not particularly juicy. The carnitas had a delightful lightness and flavor, with just the right amount of crispiness. I loved the horchata; it was refreshing and not overly sweet. The sope was enormous (as you can see in the pictures) — I expected a small one, but it could easily have been a meal on its own. Cons: The service was a bit slow; I was dining solo, which made it take a little longer, but it wasn’t too much of a hassle. Some dishes could benefit from a bit more seasoning. Overall, my husband and I are looking forward to returning to explore more of the menu!
I had some trouble with my order as the staff member misunderstood what I wanted. I even pointed it out on the menu, but instead, I ended up with a burrito. I had to wait about 20 minutes for my food. When it finally arrived, it was just okay. The container for the salsa was very small, and the tortillas were disappointing. This experience was frustrating!
