I am one of those who love to enjoy the local gastronomy when traveling, but being a non-meat eater sometimes poses great challenges for me. That's why after a few days in Uzbekistan, I longed for the familiar food. I arrived at Café Sunduk following the recommendation from Lonely Planet, and they were spot on. Located in a charming neighborhood mixing residential and office buildings, not far from the Protestant Church, Café Sunduk may go unnoticed from the outside, but once you step in, you realize they wanted to do something different, with a very refined taste, carefully crafted aesthetics, and equally delicious food. In a beautiful hand-written menu, you can find everything from sweet or savory pancakes, vegetable omelettes, pasta with different sauces, a delicious mashed potatoes, incredible sandwiches, meat - which I can't comment on since I don't eat it, but surely it's amazing - and an exquisite black tea that pairs perfectly with the Honey Pie cake. All at very affordable prices and with a very attentive service. For lovers of original atmospheres, this is a place to consider, where the reuse of objects to create new decorative entities is very well achieved.
Just be my favorite café/restaurant in town. I love the stylish decor and the beautiful ambience. We enjoyed all the food we ordered, especially pumpkin cakes. The juices were delicious and refreshing. Come on!
The meal was scrumptious from start to finish. We enjoyed an eggplant salad, Trankiki, beef with plums, honey cake, and fresh juice. The restaurant provided English menus, though it was unclear if the waitress spoke English. Despite ordering a lemon cake and receiving a honey cake instead, it was delicious.
The atmosphere was pleasant and calm! Great white and pies. Thanks to the spouse. Overall, they were satisfied. There used to be a good magician and cafe.
