Golden Kiwi Takeaways - Taumarunui

Pretty good effin c's. The pre-sauced H dog didn't go down a treat with my friend (pictured). We did wait for one hour to receive them but they must've been particularly under the pump as it's Xmas time. If you know about the wait it'd be fine, we thought it was going to be about half an hour but no worries. Would eat again.

Fish was great and so fresh. Generous serving of chips. Good value for money

Love a fish and egg burger from Golden Kiwi at the moment less greasy cooking has drawn me to this new favorite takeaway/fish/porkbone shop.

Good interim stop between Waitomo and Wellington via Tongariro National Park. Mostly takeaways but some seats for eating in. Friendly service. Known for fish and chips but they offer a wide variety, from pizza to fried chicken (both kfc and rotisserie styles) to seafood options. We got a 1/4 piece of rotisserie chicken, and fried fish from the fresh picks. Tasted pretty good though we've had better. Chips were just a tad too dry for our tastes.

Have stopped here several times when passing through Taumarunui and will stop again! The kai is great! Friendly staff and their fish, chips (fries) fritters are superb. Sometimes there is a selection of fresh seafood add well.
