TGI FRIDAYS - Taunton

My friends food went wrong twice and their diet coke came from regular coke. The place was empty and the manager did not come by until the end of our visit. The hostess worked out her butt, I made sure she knows I noticed. Our waitress was fine, but not as much as the hostess. My food was good, but the overall experience was just okay.

We constantly have a problem, credit for using open table. The staff has no knowledge of the open table program and how it can be used. Manager must jump through Hoops for Diners to get credit. It is very frustrating

I put an online reservation when I came to the restaurant, it was closed. My son and I were very disappointed

There were ups and downs. I have pretty realistic expectations when it comes to chain restaurants having worked at one for many years through college. They never seem to get things quite right but they still serve a purpose. We booked a reservation on Open Table which is a really great option for a chain restaurant to have, I was surprised that Friday 's was on Open Table. What was ironic was that the hostess was not only not aware of our reservation but had never heard of Open Table. She was clearly not aware of our reservation. We were sat in 5 minutes so it wasn 't an issue. (I did get my open table points so someone must have confirmed it for us. The hostess did not bring the booster seat that we asked for twice. We did get it on the 3rd request. They did not bring flatware until we went up to a hostess 15 minutes later. Drink service was slow but the beverages were fine. The waitress was very nice but a bit aloof. My wife orderd a burger which the server offered the choice of pink or no pink instead of a customary temperature. She ordered with Pink but if course it came out completely well done and dry. I got an appetizer combination with wings, mozzarella sticks, and pretzel sticks. Mine was actually very good for whatbit was. My son liked his mac and cheese. It was inexpensive and they took the burger off the bill which we didn 't ask for or expect which was nice. It 's far from fine dining but if your looking for good tasting unhealthy appetizers and have realistic expectations you can have a good time here.

As a whole company, TGI Fridays is one of my favorite chain restaurants tied with Chili's and a few others.
