Friendly, old fashion pub! dog friendly! excellent service, well presented beer. it was our first visit, but not our last!

I hope you have a big appetite if you eat here as the portions are enormous! I had chicken liver pate for starter which was great, and fish and chips for main, which had lots of flavour. The atmosphere was proper country pub, lots of chatter, character, busyness, people enjoying a few drinks, kids laughing etc. We were greeted enthusiastically and with friendship, and made to feel welcome. It was summer when we ate but I bet this is an amazing place with a roaring log fire in the winter! Already looking forward to going back.

Great food, friendly service, allows dogs with a good size garden. Recommend.

Fantastic country pub with a spacious beer garden! Dining was on-site, and the service was worthy of a 5-star rating, even though they were quite busy during our lunchtime visit.
