The Old Inn - Taunton

I stopped by for a drink and to meet up with some friends. The pub has a great atmosphere, and the food looked delicious. I would definitely return if I'm in the area again. Highly recommended! Service: 5/5

I just enjoyed a Sunday lunch there today with a friend. We had a selection of meats accompanied by vegetables. The roast beef and chicken were cooked to perfection—tender and moist. The vegetables were also expertly prepared, retaining a nice crispness without being overcooked, which is often an issue in many restaurants. When the food arrived, it was "piping hot," with steam rising from the plates, making it a true pleasure to dive into such an excellent Sunday roast. This was by far the best Sunday lunch I've had in a long time. A HUGE thank you to the chef and our waitress for their wonderful service!

I visited this very friendly pub for a late Sunday lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional food. I wasn't in the mood for a roast, but that's the standard Sunday menu here. If you're going to offer a limited selection, it should be outstanding, and this place delivers. I chose the pork and chicken mix, and I'm so glad I did. It was superb, featuring traditional home-cooked flavors with fresh local produce. The pork was flavorful, the chicken was moist, and it came with peas, carrots, beans, cabbage, Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, mash, and gravy. Wow, it was absolutely delicious! I’ll definitely be adding this to my regular Sunday dining options.
