Eightyeight Cafe - Tauranga

After a diabolic customer service experience in sidetrack cafe near the mountain we were recommended this place to breakfast and thank God because this was divine. the personal is wonderful the service perfect. we had a conversation with the beautiful ann the baker in caffe, who had almost invaded us. a serendipitous aggression that extinguished my morning, bad experience and loved people. that's before I brioche into the bacon cream cheese with cranberry sauce, which is phenomenal. if you imagine the taste of the sky, that is it. what do you wait for....GO!

Absolutely our favorite cafe in the Mt. Nice staff, reasonable pricing, good coffee and delicious food. The Blueberry caramel slabs were the best thing EVER!! 10/10 would recommend

Superb cafe. Food is extremely well presented and tastes as good as it looks. Very good coffee. Large selection of menu items, as well as cabinet food. There is no table service but ordering at the counter is fast and efficient. I'm sure this would be a strong contender for best cafe at the mount.

A world class gastronomical experience. Been to Cafe 88 several times when we visit Mount Maunganui. My favourite for breakfast is the Granola. Lolly cake for morning tea. Lunch is the Paleo chicken salad. This cafe is out of this world and the best in New Zealand.We can't wait to be back.

What an amazing array of homemade baked goods! I chose the Hummingbird Cake which was a HUGE cake and meant that the slices were also huge! Cream cheese icing covered in large coconut shreds garnished a lovely moist cake...which went so well with 2 x long blacks, also delicious! (Please don't tell anyone that this was my breakfast!
