I went here with my family and everyone was very friendly and helpful. The only thing I could possibly fault was their seating arrangement. As a family of 5 we were in a very cramped corner. The food and service was all excellent, nothing took too long and we had a lovely time. I highly recommend it.
I called in for lunch recently. The fish of the day was great. Well cooked in every respect. The service was great from all staff.<br/ The atmosphere cannot be beaten.<br/ It is everything that you need.<br/ <br/ I was amused by Chris' Eddy's comment about the english barman. I have never found him grumpy but as he is Irish he probably gets grumpy at being called english. I get grumpy when people tell me I am english.
Visited The Roundabout early on a Monday evening and it was packed. There were several tables already reserved for large parties and the bar was busy. There were around fifteen of us but we got a table without problems. <br/ <br/ We ordered pizza, mainly due to their special of two pizzas for $25. The food arrived promptly and was nicely presented on wooden boards. The toppings were great, lots of ingredients but not piled so high that they fell off as soon as you lifted a slice up to your mouth. <br/ <br/ Despite the place being very busy the staff coped very well and the meals were excellent value. If there is a down side, it is that the staff are not cheerful or friendly, which is a must have quality in hospitality even in a local pub. But if you don't mind your pizza with a side of maudlin and melancholy, you can't go wrong at The Roundabout.
Went here for a 3 course meal with my partner the other evening.<br/ <br/ Nothing to fault, all meals cooked to perfection and friendly staff.<br/ <br/ Excellent value and portion sizes too, will happily go here again.
