Contribuisci feedbackWe had a wonderfully enjoyable afternoon at this restaurant with great lunch and excellent service from the father and son hosts. They provided us with food and wine recommendations that led to a delicious meal, topped off with a homemade dessert. Make sure to call ahead, but if they're open, don't hesitate to go! You won't be disappointed!
We decided to stop in for a wine tasting and cheese platter, and were absolutely impressed by the incredible hospitality and outstanding food and wine. This family-owned business has been running since the 1960s and offers a menu that is both unique and delicious. We particularly enjoyed the Merlot, as well as the Rose and liqueurs. This is definitely an experience that should not be missed. We will definitely be returning to Mt Beauty just to visit this place again.
Based on the recommendation of locals, we decided to visit this restaurant and were completely amazed by the experience. The food was absolutely fantastic and customized just for us. It felt as though we had our own personal chef. Additionally, we had a curated wine tasting with a selection of incredible wines in a peaceful and lovely atmosphere. This restaurant is worth a trip from Melbourne alone, but the added bonus of being in Mt Beauty makes it a must-visit destination when you are in the area.
Having seen the winery 'open' sign on the main road leading into Mt Beauty I drove the directed way only to find the winery closed. The doors to the winery/restaurant were unlocked so I walked in but no one seemed to be around despite my calling out. I am sure your wines and foods are fine but I find it very frustrating when a sign on the main road clearly showing you are open turns out to be incorrect - surely it doesn't take much effort to give correct information or does passing trade not matter? My rating therefore is not on your product but on your customer service. On chatting to a local in the nearby town her comment was 'they open when it pleases them' I realise that this is a bit of a rant but this is not the first time this has happened to me in this area.
I am very fond of Annapurna as I had my wedding reception there 5 years ago (I still have guests talking about how amazing a venue it was!). However today was just husband & I enjoying a platter and drink amongst the beauty which is Annapurna. Daniel makes a mean pate and fruit cheese amongst a platter of food that was left completely empty! The wine is the best in the region in my opinion. They have just created a new line of liqueur and the Vixen is to die for - with a wine, coffee and rum flavour it's velvety smooth texture is just to die for... You'd be hard pressed trying it and not being compelled to grab a bottle on your way out
