Every time I go there, I wonder why I don't go there more often. You have to try. My friends recently treated me for my birthday, and here are a few photos of what we had.
All right! Use the hubs for an impromptu date. Quirky, friendly staff, AMAZING FOOD. I have a burrito and he's got a chicken and Queso court. While we ate, I happened to mention with a mouth full of food that someone knows what they do in the kitchen. Very recommended!!!!
This was our first visit to this hidden gem and we could not believe how good the food is! The Chile Con Queso was AMAZING! They serve it with Chilli and so I asked her to put on the side (no one had served it so before and was not sure whether I like it or not), which was not a problem. The food is tasteful and the quality is excellent. The portions were so big that I had to pack most of my meals and had to take it home. The service was quick and friendly and they were very attentive. The atmosphere was calm and relaxed, making it the perfect place to relax over a great tasting. The prices were also very reasonable. This is by far the best Mexican food we found in Taylor and we are planning to make this a regular place to dive.
I give this place a fixed four stars. It had amazing food. Like someone else said, it's not Tex-Mex. It's true Latin food. You will first serve a spicy cabbage concoction alone a very tasteful and spicy red salsa. Add these two together and yum. I had the shrimps Enchiladas and my son had a chicken paste with onions, peppers, chicken and mushrooms. My shrimp enchiladas were beautifully flavored without heavy sauces. I never tasted something very similar, but it absolutely loved it. My son's Key Lime Pasta was another dish that had very different flavors. I just had to try out a few of him, and I can take it. We were so pleasantly surprised to have a place like this in a small town like Taylor. The only reason I had to knock off a star was because they have several ceiling tiles that are only rough. Water damage and mold. These are pretty cheap and they just have to replace them. Apart from that, we will be back to enjoy more food and just sit away from these delicious tiles.
Made the drive over to Taylor to try a hometown resturant. Man we were super pleased to find Ricoco's. Turned out to be a great spot with delicious food! All the food was made fresh to order so it isn't the fastest food you can find but, if you have a few minutes to wait, you will not be disappointed. From food order to food on table was about 25 mins. So not too bad at all for a Friday evening. I can not wait to drive over again to have something else.
