El Patron Mexican - Taylors

We love this place. My parents used to bring me here back in the 70’s when I was little and they were a tithe street. Best Flan around. The owner speaks to us every time we’re here. 53 years and counting. The owner is doing his dad proud. True Mexican food but American owned and operated.

Best Tex Mex in the area. Family owned. Definitely has a regular fan base. The owners are passionate about El Matador and their customers. The food is really good, depending on what you want. I have heard that you can judge a texmex place through the chips and salsa even before your order. El Matador lives there.

What a great experience! This is the best Tex-Mex food I had in Greenville so far. It felt like I was back in Texas! The salsa is homemade and fresh, the meat is well seasoned, and the margaritas are absolutely delicious, all served in a warm and atmospheric atmosphere. David, the owner of this family business, is a very nice man. I will definitely be back!

First Mexican restaurant in South Carolina and there is no doubt as to why it keeps going. Never fails to impress. Great food. Great service, Great prices. What more could you ask for?

With my sister in Taylors, SC, one day we drove through the old house of my aunt. Much to my surprise, El Matador Mexican Restaurant takes this room now. Well, of course I had to go there for dinner, and I'm so glad I left. It was a bit like entering the past, as I could remember where everything was once and at the same time how everything had changed. A so pleasant culinary experience! The food was delicious and our service was fantastic. With a group of people who ordered all different things, I could taste many dishes. Everything I tried, Tacos, Chimichangas, Steak, Enchiladas and Fajitas was delicious. Will definitely be revisited.
