El Toreo - Taylorsville

The food at this restaurant was fantastic. The service was a bit slow, but the staff were very friendly. The Mexican cuisine had an outstanding taste.

Great food, fast friendly service.....we eat here at least a couple of times a month. update We have been coming here since first opening. On our last visit we were greeted by unfamiliar staff, I assumed the management had changed. The atmosphere has improved greatly, but the food and service dropped off the table. Dinners were both below par and the manager wanted to argue about the issues. We may give it another shot, but with the vast assortment of Mexican food establishments around here....it may take awhile.

Everything so far as good. Something as simple as their rice and beans is simply perfect. Tender and mouthwatering. Nice and clean. Even their water tastes good. Best Mexican restaurant that I know of. I drive 40 minutes just to go there. Prices are very reasonable too.

Probably an off day but everything was really yucky, the chips were stale the salsa tasted horrible but the queso was good. It was just overwhelmed by the chips. Date got a drink but it tasted like motor oil and we asked for the check, paid, left everything at the table and decided to go to Riviera Maya and it was a great decision. We also immediately bonked our knees on the pillar underneath the table and there wasn't really much we could do besides fold our legs to the side or straddle it. Just a very unfortunate experience ?

I went here with my girlfriend and we didn't even get into ordering an entre before deciding to leave. The tables have posts that are over a foot wide that the booths aren't adequately spaced from, so you end up either having to stradle it or sit lopsided. Both drinks we got tasted awful. The chips were stale, the salsa and queso bland. Go to Riviera Maya or Camilla's instead.
