Pearl Express - Taylorsville

Pearl Express is our favorite spot for Chinese cuisine. We always enjoy consistently tasty food at a great price. I particularly love their Pon Pon Chicken and fried rice. We also really enjoy their Szechuan pork.

I’ve came here for over six years. It’s the absolute best food in the salt lake area. The workers here are so sweet. It’s always a pleasure to have dinner here as a family.

Ordered the sweet and sour pork and the pon pon chicken combos. The sweet and sour pork is NOT as advertised. We have been looking for hong Kong style (sauted with sauce, peppers and pineapple) and this was those dog food nuggets with no peppers at all- the photo on this shows Hong Kong style. The pon pon chicken was dry. Fried rice, egg rolls and soup were good. Cream cheese wontons and honey walnut shrimp were mediocre. Was really hoping to find a new spot, but unfortunately it was underwhelming and overpriced.

Pearl express is a really nice restaurant. It has good food and good service. The people are nice.

Best Chinese food in town and has been for years. I recommend it to anyone
