Yummy Japanese Express Taylorville

I live two minutes away. The calamari was soggy by the time it arrived at home. The steak is chewy.

We used to visit the food truck location in Springfield and were so bummed when it closed. The other day we decided to drive an hour to visit his new location and it was perfect! The best hibachi central IL has to offer. The steak and noodles is my favorite. We also tried the sushi which was good too.The wait was about 25 minutes on a Friday evening, but worth it. The staff was very friendly too. They forgot my veggie rolls and we had already driven away but no big deal. We will definitely make the drive back soon!

We absolutely adore Yummy Japanese Express! The food is incredibly delicious and reasonably priced. The service is outstanding! I'm not sure what the name of the lovely woman at the counter is, but she is always so friendly and helpful, ensuring that my order is correct and complete. My favorite dish is the Taylorville Roll— the blend of sauces along with the crispy fried roll makes it a standout for me. I also really enjoy their Vegetable Noodles, but honestly, anything you order will delight your taste buds. Usually, I have photos to share with my reviews, but we always end up finishing our food before I remember to take any!

Our family has enjoyed everything we've ordered from the menu. We dine here once or twice a week! We're especially excited now that they offer boba! The staff is incredibly nice and friendly. Food: 5/5
