We went to Webb's for a birthday celebration, 6 adults, I don't think anyone was overly pleased with their meal. We were seating fast, it wasn't busy, services was ok but food quality was not there. Caesar salad was lacking in flavour, the mixed vegetables were frozen and reheated, the mashed potatoes were cold, the crab legs were rubbery and the new york steak 10oz was gristly and half and inch thick? For what you pay here there are better places in the city to get a good steak.
We had a coupon that was about to expire and decided a nice steak dinner would be nice for hubby 's birthday. When we got there the place was deserted. The interior is very nice stone archways and lots of wood. The first thing I noticed was the menu was not the same as the new menu on the web site. The salad was no longer included with the dinner now $2. I don 't mind spending $2 for a caeser salad but this salad was boring and dry. The steak was very good but the sides certainly lacked. The vegetables were ok but the serving size was miniscule. I ordered the garlic sauteed mushrooms huge dissapontment they came as a pile of very tiny canned mushrooms, yuck! We won 't be returning.
Have eaten at Webb's Steak Seafood Burgers Bar twice. The split level seating design and layout of the restaurant is somewhat convoluted and from the onset not very welcoming. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and do their best; nothing to complain about nothing to rave about... that's the challenge with this restaurant it's a great example of mediocrity, sedate and no spice... it could be so much better... but the food and service is o.k... but it has the potential to be so much more entertaining and welcoming... Sorry... wish my impression was better... it's an o.k. standby restaurant...
My husband and I decided to try this restaurant for our regular weekly date night. The restaurant is beautifully decorated inside and out, with lovely lighting and furniture. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, even suggesting the perfect wine to pair with our meal. I ordered the Big Blue burger and fries, while my husband had the chicken with vegetables. The prices were a bit higher than Michigan's Diner, but the atmosphere made it worth it. It was a nice change of pace for us!
