Ashburton Artisan Bakery - Teignbridge

Briar bakery is the new name for this establishment, and it truly is an amazing bakery. We received a warm and friendly welcome, especially for our kids. We couldn't resist and ended up buying a lot of items from the store, and we were so glad we did because everything tasted incredibly fresh and delicious. We are already looking forward to going back for more. The focaccia and flapjacks were particularly outstanding!

We used to always visit Ella's when we were in Ashburton on their opening days. Today, we visited the rebranded bakery called Briar. It still offers a quality selection of home-baked goods similar to its predecessor. The sourdough bread is brought in from another baker. The friendly cashier mentioned that Briar has been open for about a month now. We purchased a delicious sourdough loaf for £4 and look forward to trying other treats next time.

I recently started working nearby and discovered this restaurant. The baked goods are incredible - I have been introduced to delicious breads, pastries, and cakes. Thank you for the enjoyable experience!

The bread is the best in the south west! Just delicious and yes it’s more than supermarket sliced bread but you cannot compare! Worth every penny.

I visit regularly and I’ve never had anything that wasn’t first class and totally delicious. I have my favourites which sell out very quickly, so get here early if you want to taste the best, freshest, most scrummy baked items
