New Golden Crown - Teignbridge

Having moved here some 15 years ago .I can honestly state that in all of the take away chinese restaurants in the Dawlish ,and Teighnmouth areas, this is the only one to have a decent takeaway from, in the whole area of Dawlish ,and Teignmouth this is the only chinese takeaway that puts all of the ingriedients ,into their meals so many takeaways are low in ingriedients and just not up to par therefore not good value and not authentic chinese meals! I will never go anywhere else even though it,s a small car journey Ive never been dissapointed with the golden crown and will continue to support them, Well done ,for service and quality

We had a Chinese takeaway from this place last week. The food was not authentic Chinese. My kung po chicken with cashew nuts had no cashew nuts. The next day We we’re terribly ill the whole family. Avoid unless you want to risk getting ill.

Ordered a chicken Kung po which arrived with cucumber?? Barely any sign of a cashew in a tastless supposed “spicy” sauce, and a beef and black bean with raw peppers. Thank goodness I’m only here on holiday, so I’ll never be back. Terrible! Avoid!!!

Haven't used this place in ages because they don't deliver and the food has been terrible in the past. We decided to give it a go this evening and I am so disappointed that I've been driven to write this. I ordered crispy chilli beef and Kung Po beef. Both were exactly the same in a bland, horrible sauce except that the supposed Kung Po had a few peanut fragments thrown on top. Crispy chilli beef is a dry dish but it came with the same horrible sauce. The vegetable Chow Mein is tasteless too with no veg in it anyway, not even onions. A complete waste of money and I'll never go back.

My partner and I ordered the house special chow mien, satay chicken and chicken fried rice. The flavours were amazing and the meat really tender. Lady behind the counter was very friendly and chatty. Would highly recommend.
