Friendly unspoilt country pub.Great service .Great giant sofas and fireplace.Beautiful village.Uber dog friendly!
This restaurant is a hidden gem. We stayed for 3 nights and had a wonderful experience. It was incredibly peaceful and quiet. The landlord's dog is fantastic and great with everyone. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and offer a stunning view of the Devon hills. While it is a bit out of the way from the city, it is perfect for exploring other parts of South Devon. The food is delicious and the landlord is a true treasure. I would definitely give this place a 5-star rating for its rooms.
I had a wonderful Sunday afternoon at this pub. The food was delicious with large portions. I enjoyed the roast lamb and a cheese and ham ploughman's. They had a great selection of real ales from Exeter Brewery, Salcombe, and Branscombe. The pub also had some friendly dogs which added to the charm. Overall, a visit to this cozy and welcoming village inn is highly recommended. Service: 4, Location: 5.
This is a proper pub, specialising in local beer (very well kept) and proper homemade un flashy food. Had a really excellent oxtail stew and pint of eddystone. Lovely! Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great value
