The Royal Oak - Teignbridge

We made plans to meet friends for Sunday dinner and were disappointed to find no fried dishes on the menu. However, there was a wide variety of homemade dressings and affordable meals to choose from. The owner and his wife were delightful, and the locals made us feel welcome. We enjoyed our time there, savoring the delicious Dartmoor beer, and will definitely return.

I visited this restaurant twice during the holiday season and really enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and the friendly couple who own the pub. It's a traditional British pub filled with marine memorabilia and has a very cozy ambiance. There are only four tables, so be sure to make a reservation when you want to eat. We tried the lasagne and chili, both of which were delicious. They also have a long list of daily specials to choose from.

I went to this restaurant with another couple and made a reservation in advance since they only have four tables. Unfortunately, they were out of steaks since it was a Sunday. However, I ordered the gammon and it was absolutely delicious. Everything was cooked perfectly, but the portion size of the gammon was huge. I would definitely visit again. The dessert was also delicious.

A part of our search for 2 or 3 pubs per week, as we moved to devon, we called on recommendation of a neighbor. beautiful discovery. a cozy and old pretty pub. we were too late for lunch, but the short menu looked promising. a decent traditional bar without the penetration of modern influences. friendly barman and renter. only a few natives apparently use it. what is wrong with you? use it or lose it. a village with a pub adds £15k to the value of their property!

I’ve been to this pub a few times now with my family. The food is excellent. Caroline and Phil are very welcoming The pub is quirky and that sets it aside from so many others. Highly recommended!!
