One of my fave asian restaurant, super like the papaya salad “somtam” and crispy pork…
Amazing food great atmosphere very good service. Expensive.
For the past few decades I have lived partly in Thailand and learned to love the food there. I can not find authentic restaurants outside of Thailand and that makes me upset... I was happy when discovered that Nam restaurant strives to be authentic. This is in addition to the efficient service and reasonable prices. Still, a few comments: Seafood soup is very rich in content, but its sauce is overloaded with sugar and coconut milk. A steamed whole fish surprised me because it came without bones. It was a bit funny to find under the fish a small decorative candle which is symbolically intended for heating the fish. The fish was large and its meat was fine. The sauce could have been perfect if it had not been filled with lemon juice. Lemon taste should be delicate and achieved by Lemongrass. Papaya with Sticky Rice, the dish was beautiful and invested. Unfortunately the sticky rice was soaked in sugar water and that was a bad idea. Usually the sweetness is achieved by a few stripes on top, of canned milk and that should leave the original taste of the sticky rice beside the sweetness of the papaya.
Great Tom Yam soup!! Everything we tried was delicious! Service was great as well... Hosting is the only area where we found ourselves waiting shortly although we had reservation.
