The Golden Ball - Telford and Wrekin

The Golden Ball is our local. It’s friendly and food has always been good. We haven’t eaten here for a while but decided to have a mid week treat as my sister in law ate here recently and said that she had a great meal. It was really delicious. I had the goats cheese risotto which I find can be bland but it had so much flavour, my husband had pork loin which again was cooked perfectly with a lovely well balanced mustard sauce. Even the salad was lovely! I passed on my compliments and was told there was a new chef. We will be returning again very soon.

We ate here twice during our stay in Ironbridge. The pub is attractive with good food, not just the usual pub grub. I had a beet and goat cheese tart and another time spinach and feta tortellini.

Fantastic local pub. Dog friendly. Always prompt bar service. The chilli and rice was fantastic this week. Leffe lager always a life saver at the end of a hard week.

Nice venue within walking distance on ironbridge town centre. Very nice staff, menu was limited and the food was OK pub grub and plenty of it.

Excellent choice stumbled across it after being guided by Tripadvisor. Great selection of ales and wonderful food service.
