Tellico Beach Drive In - Tellico Plains

Tellico Beach is cool!. We often stop there when we are working for the annual Miatas at the Gap Collection at the end of July. I have a Sonic close to me at home and I think Tellico Beach beats it hands down! We eat there because they are locally owned and not another crazy franchise performer the landscape! You have wonderful food and ice cream, a place where you picnic and go into the water behind the ride to go around. It's a lot of fun and definitely a little bit of the past. If we lived closer, we would be there more often!

We loved going here but stopped for a while when the food quality went down the hill during the pandemic. We've decided to try it since we told new people. I'm glad we made it! The burgers are like them. We have 2 beach double bacon cheese burgers and onion rings. The Burgerpatties were juicy and big. I'm just one of the Pattys not on the bungalow and split the onion rings that were perfectly boiled. You can get all normal toppings on a burger that is great. You cook everything to order, so it takes time to get your order, but it is so worth waiting. Prices are reasonable for what you get. Outside of seats or eat in your car. If you call in a hurry to order ahead when not only sit and enjoy the view sitting on the river. You also have an ice cream shop there and the shakes are fantastic.

I've been here a long time. Let me begin by saying how friendly the staff was. I was greeted by a gentleman and a young lady on the other side on both windows. Both offered to take my order immediately. I have placed a pretty big order with the lady and she quickly gave up my order without mistake, as I had some specific ways to prepare the food. She checked the order with me as soon as I finished. Then it rang and I paid. Let me add at the time, not knowing how good the food was. For what we have a very good price. Then she gave me a ticket with my number for the order. I asked her how long it would take and she said about 15-20 minutes. I went back to the van and after about 10 minutes the Lord who greeted me in the order window came into the window and said your food was ready. Wow, that was fast. With our food and drinks we made two trips to the vans. My bacon Cheeseburger was absolutely delicious. In fact, it was so good I ordered another and it was done in a few minutes. The meat melted in your mouth and the rabbit was so soft. My wife had the foot long hot dog with Slav and Chili. She loved it. Said the sister-in-law was better than anything she ever had. My daughter also had a simple foot long hot dog and asks me to go back. We sat in the car for Covid exposure. We have a social need Tracheotomie son and couldn't get him out in public. The view is wonderful. Growing up in the area is what you are used to. Take cash. No cards accepted! If you're in the hall, that's one thing!!

This is a great place to take a bite we have come here since 2007. It is a car in grub so burgers, dogs, frits, etc. and I would recommend trying their beach burgers. It seems best to hit it easily from normal rush times as they can shorten with a little waiting. It is right by the river and it is a good place to take a break while visiting the area. No seating, but there are covered areas and many picnic tables.

Love this great priced spot right on the river! Staff is awesome and they have delicious food. They are always as fast as possible and give you their best. Remember to bring Cash! No credit or debit. Definitely recommend.
