Kuka Sushi Izakaya - Tempe

It appears that families with young children may not feel particularly welcomed here. Although we received a warm greeting at the entrance, we were seated in a corner near the restrooms, even though several tables were open. Our table was unsteady, and there were stains on the walls from previous spills. While our server was friendly, they unfortunately forgot to bring us the rice we ordered. We tried the yakitori, specifically the chicken breast and thigh, as well as some gyoza. The thigh was decent, but the breast was quite dry. Even though the restaurant has potential, we felt a bit out of place during our visit. We finished our rather average meal quickly, paid more than we expected, and left. I’ll give it 1 star for the nice location and another for our friendly server.

We just had a fantastic sushi experience, trying the dragon roll, toozie roll, and ahi ahi roll, all of which were outstanding! We also decided to sample the sailors mule, which I highly recommend. Our server was incredibly friendly and attentive! Overall, I would rate the food 5 out of 5.

This is the best and freshest sushi I've experienced in Arizona to date. We ordered a variety of appetizers and main courses, and everything arrived promptly and tasted very fresh. The calamari appetizer and jalapeño poppers were particularly notable for their freshness. The service was outstanding and very accommodating. The sushi dinner was reasonably priced, given the freshness and flavor. However, if you are strictly vegan and order a roll without fish or meat, be cautious—our avocado roll contained a small piece of minced tuna.

I had a fantastic dining experience at this restaurant! The food was incredibly delicious, and the service was exceptional. I ordered the seafood ramen, which was amazing, and the katsu was equally delightful. I also enjoyed the pork belly and chicken heart yakitori. I highly recommend visiting to sample their dishes!

The sushi and service were exceptional! The fish was incredibly fresh, and all the rolls were amazing. They even offered a separate menu for vegetarian and vegan options. One of our rolls didn’t meet the chef's standards (though we could hardly notice), and he graciously sent us a complimentary one. I highly recommend this restaurant!
