Original Hoagie Shop - Tempe

This little hoagie shop is extremely clean, and the staff is fantastic. Most importantly, the food is hot and fresh off the grill, and it’s incredibly delicious. We often drive over 30 miles just to eat here, and we're always so satisfied that we wish it were closer. You should definitely stop by and try it for yourself!

Absolutely delicious and mouthwatering hoagies! I’m a big fan of the Original Hoagie Shop, a family-owned restaurant with fantastic local food. I've visited twice now and I'm so glad I decided to stop in on a whim! I even had a lovely conversation with the owner, who is a wonderful person. I highly recommend the Italian steak sandwich. The prices are great and the service is fast and friendly. This isn't fast food; it’s truly delicious food! Just a heads up: they close the seating area at 3 PM but remain open until 4 PM. Enjoy!

Absolutely delicious! This is quite possibly the best sandwich I’ve ever had—full of incredible flavor. The combo, which includes a 12-inch sandwich, fries, and a drink, costs around $21. It’s more than enough for one meal, so you can save the leftovers for dinner. The owner was very respectful, and I would highly recommend this place to anyone in the area. It’s officially my new go-to lunch spot! 10/10!

Coming from Philadelphia, I wasn't sure what to expect from this Arizona mom and pop sandwich shop. Their Philly Cheese steak did NOT disappoint. The cheese steak was filled with meat, provolone cheese, onions and peppers (which I added to my order). The bread was crispy but tender. It was outstanding. Outside of the delicious food, what also impressed me was watching one of the employees (assuming an owner) help carry the food to a customer's table. They took care and pride in how they treat their customers and present their food. The menu was located on a huge screen TV and was easy to read. The decor of the shop was nothing to write home about. I didn't see a public restroom for use, but who cares! My focus was on their food!! Way to go guys!

This was our first visit and were impressed. The hoagie I ordered, I should have asked without cheese as it was too much for me, but the rest was very good. The sandwich was so filling. The only part of this establishment is that they charge to pay with plastic/mobile pay. I understand that it's a small business, but those fees are a business deduction. Customers note, there is no restroom.
