Portillo's Tempe

Food was OK, but it's been better before. Service was decent, but seemed like they were overwhelmed with customers, and they needed more help. The building was being remodeled in places, and there were bare walls, showing studs and conduit. This was a bit strange to me. Given the dust on the surfaces, it appeared it had been that way for a while. And their misters were turned on, but it looked like half or more were not working correctly, just dumping water on the ground making a mess.

Nothing special! Hot dog was good, but have had better for less money in little hole-in-the-wall joints!

Was not told the salad comes with blue cheese . Got home and now Portillo is closed and I can’t eat this .

If you like your chili with no meat and all beans, Portillo's is the place for you! ; . Instead of paying $6 for a bowl of beans I could have gotten a can of beans at the grocery store for less than $1.

Big beef and sausage with sweet peppers. Giardiniera is great too but my stomach can't do that anymore.
