Rita's Italian Ice - Tempe

I'm from back East so I'm partial to Rita's, but I am so glad they've moved West. The custard is great and mixing it with all the great ice flavors they change daily mixes things up. Also, compared to a lot of other dessert places nowadays, their prices are reasonable for a treat.

LOVE this place. I'm bringing my entire family from out of town to this place when they visit! The short girl with brown long hair made such polite conversation while I waited for my delicious treat. Anytime I am in the area, I always make sure to stop at Rita's for a yummy bite!

I always enjoy stopping by whenever I can for some refreshing and delicious ice! It's consistently great!

The staff at the restaurant was incredibly friendly and attentive. The person at the counter was very nice and went out of her way to help us. She answered all of our questions and was generous with samples. I usually feel a bit uncomfortable when sampling in places, but she made it easy and encouraging. This was especially appreciated since the variety of options was overwhelming! My girlfriend ordered the regular gelati with strawberry and vanilla custard. At first, she was a little disappointed that her favorite flavor, Swedish Fish, wasn’t available that day. However, the staff member explained that they change their flavors daily and even take requests! So if there's a specific flavor you want, just let them know, and they’ll do their best to have it available. I went with a waffle bowl sundae topped with their freshly made custard, which was thick and creamy. I loved the sea salt caramel flavor I chose. Overall, it was an amazing experience. The location was clean and vibrant, the staff was attentive and friendly, and the treats were delicious. It's definitely one of our new favorite date spots!

Fantastic! I really enjoyed the new custard flavors. The young woman at the counter was delightful. We arrived just before closing, but she assisted us without any issues. We will definitely be returning!
