Waffle House - Tempe

My husband has been really wanting to go to Waffle House. Their waffles are truly one-of-a-kind—soft and fluffy. I also appreciate how they cook the bacon. I wish I had ordered hash browns instead of grits. The great thing about the hash browns is that you can customize them by adding cheese and ham on top!

The service team is inexperienced and the cook didn't read the tickets or the servers didn't write the orders down properly. It wasn't even busy compared to the dozens of other waffle houses I've eaten at so I don't know if it's worth returning to this one.

Good ole southern comfort food!!! Wish the servers would have been a little more attentive but they had to be on their cell phones. Miss the big hearty Wecome to Waffle House you always get back in the South.

I have very negative feelings about this establishment. The staff exhibits blatant ageism towards young adults, even discussing their comfort with “hitting kids.” There's a distinct lack of empathy among the team, and I consistently leave disappointed. To avoid a bad experience, I strongly recommend going to a different place. I had a particularly frustrating experience with one worker who ruined my morning not once, but twice. She is a larger black woman who completely ignored my party while seating other guests. She wouldn’t even make eye contact with us, failed to place any silverware on the table, and didn’t clean the counter during my first visit. The second time I visited, she was there again and once more did not seat us. I really feel she should be removed from her position.

I had the worst experience ever at Waffles House! The food was burnt and looked unappetizing, and the grits were so runny that they were inedible. The tables were dirty, and I had to clean the menus myself. I will never go back to this place. It doesn’t compare at all to the restaurants in Atlanta. If I could give it no stars, I would.
