We sat outside in the town square and enjoyed our fresh juice and breakfast while people watching. The service was great and the food was good too!
This adorable little restaurant right off the town square was such a treat! The pozole and enchiladas were delicious. The waiter was fantastic – friendly, attentive, helpful and efficient. And the ambience can’t be beat, with tables right on the pedestrian walkway, a view of the church, and proximity to all the tequila shops. It was our favorite part of the visit!
The only positive aspect of this small restaurant is its location, on the main square and with lots of outdoor seating. We only had breakfast here and it was a mess ..... we started with just two cappuccinos and they were ok. We then decided to order pancakes for me and eggs for my spouse. As my spouse is allergic to cheese, we made sure we asked that they did not put any cheese or cream as we saw that there was plenty on some dishes that went by. The waiter did not speak English but I speak fluent Spanish so communication should have not been a problem! Sure enough the eggs showed up and there was plenty of cheese on the beans and around the dish ....when I pointed out that we had asked with no cheese, he told me he was going to remove the cheese, thus implying that they would not prepare the dish from scratch again. Not acceptable! Cheese was all over the plate and my spouse would have not eaten off that dish. I told him to just bring it back and cancel the order. We shared the pancakes instead. Also, the regular coffe that we had ordered with the breakfast, showed up way after our food arrived....i would like to point out that while we were there, there were only another 4 customers so I cannot justify their unprofessionalism with an overload of customers!
We had to ask for every single thing individually, no salt, chilli, tortillas or tostadas, they were expecting us to just eath the main dish and thats it. We were in tequila and they only had two types of tequila beverages...
