Walking down the stairwell with my dog on a leash, two hotel maintenance workers came out from around the corner. We didn't see each other, we bumped into each other, one of the men got scared. I apologized, although I had no right to see him. My dog is a Labrador, so it's not small I understand that it's possible to be frightened. The gentleman said it was fine, the dog was super calm, everything seemed ok. Suddenly, the other gentleman made an angry face and gestured at me with his finger I understood nothing of what he was saying (in Slovak, and he did not speak English). He seemed to be making threats against me. Just a reminder, it was a hotel employee. Frightened, I left the hotel with my dog for a short walk. Mind you, the dog was polite and on a short leash. When I returned, I asked the lady at the front desk what the angry hotel employee was all about (she was 3 meters away from our conversation). She didn't know, or maybe I didn't understand we were talking in Polish Slovak, because the lady didn't speak English. I have NEVER encountered such an unpleasant approach to a guest. I can understand many things, but not waving a finger in front of my face. It's a shame, because the rest of the service (waiters and waitresses in the restaurant and ladies at the reception) were really nice. I'm sorry, because I paid 110 euros for an average room (but very clean), plus 15 euros for the dog.
The restaurant is nice and clean. Excellent garlic soup, not just the usual flavored broth... Nice service. Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great view
We did not stay at the hotel itself, but rented a private house on the territory. My review is specifically about Wellness. God forbid you end up in this place of “relaxation”! Everything, from the locker room to the place itself for rest and relaxation, is a quiet horror. If it were possible to give zero stars, I would give them because one star is something that also needs to be earned. I’ll tell you everything in order so as not to be unfounded. We rented a house in January for the weekend. We arrived at the hotel reception on Friday evening and made a reservation for Saturday. At the appointed time, full of anticipation to swim in the pool, which is depicted in all its glory on all websites and advertisements of this place. The rules are that you must change into flip flops in the hallway. There is nowhere to hang outer clothing at all. Okay, take off your shoes and go in down jackets and flip flops. We go in, and then it turns out that we have to pay for all these pleasures not at the wellness itself, but at the hotel reception, where we made a reservation the day before, and which, attention! is located in the next building. It's 6 degrees outside, we're wearing down jackets and flip flops for the pool. The husband, cursing, ran to pay. Why this could not have been said when we made the reservation is an unanswered question! Okay, we paid, let's move on... All things, including a winter down jacket, need to be stuffed into a tiny changing room closet. If you are with a small child, then his things go there too! The key they gave me first turned out to be broken. I had to go change my locker. In the locker room itself, an area of one meter, there are 4 lockers for 20 25 people, the description says that the establishment itself is designed for the same number of vacationers, but there is only one shower! one toilet, a tiny bench one to sit down/put things on!!! There are no hooks for towels in the shower, and there are no shelves for shampoo/washcloths, etc. We were given one towel measuring 40x60cm. You are supposed to go with him to the pool and then dry off after a shower. Coming out of the locker room, at first I thought that something had happened and the electricity had gone out. Not really. That's how it was intended! Apparently, the owners heard something about cozy light, etc., and decided that the best thing to do was to solve the issue radically. There is simply no light in the jacuzzi area. There are small lights in the saunas and a few candles on the shelves. You literally have to walk by touch. And now the most interesting thing... THE POOL IS NOT OPEN under reconstruction. Neither at the reception when reserving seats, nor when paying, nor at the spa itself at the entrance, no one said anything about this. It was a surprise for us when we, already in swimsuits, went directly to the “relaxation” area! We paid for 2 hours just to lie in the jacuzzi, which was more like a large bathtub in size, and go to the bathhouse, which I personally didn’t plan to go to because I don’t like it. Everyone present, having nothing better to do, also crammed into the jacuzzi, so that they were literally pushing each other’s butts. In general, there are a lot of impressions, but all of them are far from pleasure and relaxation. I have never seen a more unfriendly staff and a less customer oriented place in my life. Oh, and one more thing... The staff speaks neither English nor German. So all that remains is, as in the cartoon about penguins, “smile and wave”
Weakly supplemented breakfast and a more modest selection of food (missing things such as pancakes, fruit, the offer is endless and there were so many people). The cook is probably sleeping and the maids are slow and probably don't know how to communicate with the cook. Something runs out and you wait half an hour for it to be refilled, if it is refilled at all, and that's basic things like eggs, rice, ham... the coffee machine constantly needs service and doesn't work. Horror. There is room for improvement regarding breakfast and service.
We were only in the restaurant. Unfortunately, the crispy duck breast was rubber duck breast . For almost €16, a really big disappointment... There is too much noise in the restaurant. I couldn 't understand my wife across the table. I got a headache... Service: 4 Location: 4
