Such a wonderful bakery for fresh or frozen ready-to-bake pies. We have used them for our business and they are delicious and consistently well-prepared for a reasonable price. The owners are loving and passionate about home-grown and freshly made. The staff are friendly and helpful. Love this place!

Shopped here for the first time last week to pick up some favorites for family. Even though we went a few minutes early, staff called us in so we could place our orders and go back to pick up fresh from the oven. Such a wonderful bakery! Will definitely be going again.

This place hand makes the most amazing pies! Always good to call ahead and put your name on a pie they go really fast nothing worse than no pie.

First things first: Baker Extraordinaire is not a restaurant -- it is a bakery. And it is a bakery that offers a wonderful selection of baked goods (cookies -- try the gingersnaps;)! bread varieties (the whole-grain harvest is excellent;) and pies. For me, the pies are the definite highlight. I recently stopped by and I picked up the strawberry rhubarb. . .absolutely outstanding! The moment you bite into the pie, you know it's fresh and you know it's homemade. And, let me tell you, absolutely nothing beats a house-made fruit pie. People weren't kidding when they said this place is home to the best pies in Terrace! And it's easy to see why.For me, a good homemade fruit pie must do a few things: 1) Use fresh ingredients; 2) Don't be cheap with the filling; and, 3) have a nice, flaky crust. Baker Extraordinaire does all of those things. They use fresh ingredients for all of their fruit pies (local, if possible;) the pies themselves are PACKED with delicious fruit, and the pie itself is light and flaky. And, as most people know, getting the crust on any pie "just right" is often the most difficult thing to do. Usually, the crust ends up really tough and dry, but that doesn't happen with these wonderful pies! They're good right down to the last bite. . .you can't help but keep coming back for more!FOOD: 5/5SERVICE: 5/5VALUE: 5/5 (I think the prices are excellent for home-made goodness!)RECOMMENDATION: If you find yourself in the area, do yourself a big favour and stop by this place for a nice pie snack treat. Our favorite place for a wonderful pie! Our faves are the coconut cream pie and chocolate cream pie. Also the mixed berry pie is wonderful too. They have great cookies as well. Definitely try the ginger cookies. Be sure to get there early if you want a pie as they tend to sell out. Excellent friendly service always. The best bakery in Terrace, hands down.
