Sam's Southern Eatery - Texarkana

Probably the best hole in the wall eatery for seafood I've ever been to! Food is fresh, and GREAT! The building is an old Sonic, but the food is great!

I loved this place my son loves the fried catfish and the fries are pretty amazing too. The Philly cheese ? steak ? sandwich is really good as well.Vegetarian options: Fried okra, Mac and cheese.

Fried jumbo shrimp were great! Hassle free ordering and the food was steaming hot! Highly recommended!

Looks like an old Sonic. I ordered the 2 piece fish 6 piece shrimp with fries and fried okra. Firstly, everything was fresh! Hot and tasty. I realized halfway thru my meal that I hadn't received 2 hush puppies, so I went inside to request them. I could've passed on the hush puppies. The cocktail sauce for the shrimp seemed a little too stiff for dipping. Outside of these 2 things my meal was OUTSTANDING!!! Highly recommended! Price was great for the food. They have the big shrimp, not those little shrimp nugget things. I was soooo full, but so grateful to have found this place!

I meant 1 on the above. After waiting an hour,the shrimp was very over cooked. The coating was burned in places,and the shrimp were rubbery because they were overdone. Wish I had my money back!
