Twisted Fork Grill - Texarkana

The Baja tacos were fantastic, and the grilled okra was incredible! The staff was attentive and friendly. The prices were affordable while still offering an elevated dining experience. I always appreciate that combination!

The restaurant was bustling due to a birthday party, and we were fortunate to get seated. Live music from the Moss Brothers added to the atmosphere. Our waitress was wonderful and attentive. The calamari was excellent, served in a creamy sauce, although the red sauce had a fermented flavor that didn't quite complement the dish. The pizza was perfectly crisp! The beef short rib was beautifully charred and incredibly tender. However, both the mushroom risotto and the tomatoes shared a similar fermented taste as the red sauce from the calamari. The tomatoes were slightly overcooked, but they blended well with the risotto. I'd definitely like to return on a less busy day to try more from the menu.

We stopped here during our trip, and I must say the restaurant is a bit tricky to find since its entrance doesn’t face the street. I ordered the ahi tuna accompanied by asparagus and jalapeño cheese grits. The tuna came with a fantastic soy ginger sauce, and the asparagus was also quite good. However, I found the grits to be only average; I couldn’t really taste the peppers, and they were too thick for my liking. My husband had the redfish along with a side salad and the same grits. He thought the fish and salad were decent, but he felt the grits were underwhelming as well. On a positive note, the wine portion was generous, especially considering the affordable price. Our server, Heather, was polite and very accommodating.

This restaurant was fantastic, and the food was delicious. There was a live band performing while we dined, which added to the atmosphere. Our waitress was extremely friendly as well.
