Holly Lanes Fish Inn - Thanet

Re-discovered this fish bar again recently and can highly recommend the new management team and their food. They have an app for ordering and payment which simplifies the process and their food can be delivered by Just Eat too. Have now used three times and the fish and batter have been consistently very good indeed. We’ll done to you and keep it going. Thank you.

We went here last Friday and had scampi, haddock, shrimp and chips. Unfortunately the oil must have been old as everything had a rancid taste (our kitchen still smells of it). Strange as it was busy so others might like it but even though it’s our closest place we will not go back. Change the oil!

Just had an order, not happy, I’ve ordered from here before and had really good fish and chips, sadly not this time, the goujons I ordered had an unpleasant ammonia smell and taste, this indicates it’s not fresh, hopefully I’m not sick, husbands steak and kidney pie was also cold, not impressed, won’t be returning, also was a little off put that no staff wore facemasks

Recently moved into the area and have no used this chippy on numerous occasions. Always been happy with the quality and price. Friendly staff, efficient service (don't mind waiting for fresh fish to be cooked). Highly recommended but bear in mind when ordering that the chip portions are very generous .

Ordered fish and chips here, just passing by, so glad I did. Ordered for myself and my children. Service was excellent, staff really professional and respectful, fast service. Will definitely try again.
