South Garden - Thanet

I recently ordered takeout from this restaurant for the first time. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the food. If this had been my first experience with Chinese cuisine, I would never try it again. I should have read the reviews before ordering, as they were not favorable. I hope none of us get sick from the food. Everything was unpleasant, especially the spring roll. I suggest finding another place to eat. I do not recommend this restaurant, as it is not worth the price.

Used restaurant once in the past and all ok so decided to use again. Worst decision, the crispy aromatic duck comprised of just the leathery inedible skin, gristle, fat and very pale and minimal meat. I can only deduce that the meat is used for orders of duck curry and scraps boxed up for half crispy aromatic take-outs. Tried Winons in Broadstairs (nearish the Broadway) and I am happy with theirs all day long. They deliver to Margate for those interested to know.

Disgusting food. Cold and I ordered a plain chow main got a chicken one. This was for a vegetarian!!! Chicken on salt and chilli was rock hard and cold. Cold rice. Heated what we could eat up ate four mouthfuls. Instantly regretted it. Let’s just say the back of my bathroom door was my view for the next hour. If u want to lose weight order from here!! What u do manage to eat of it will run right out the other end.

My local take-away,I only use it occasionally,normally when too lazy to drive. Duck with Orange Sauce and a portion of Fried rice. duck appears boiled,not roasted,so the fat is still on it,sauce sweet,but tasty,fried rice also tasty.

The reception area looked grubby and worn out, the food was bland and made with cheap ingredients. It would have been helpful to inform customers about the cash-only policy when they call to place an order. The only positive aspect of the experience was that the prices were reasonable.
