Quality ingredients, lovely tasty and a pleasure to visit, no waiting for food to be on your table, the staff are hard working always smiling and nothing is to much trouble for them! The view adds to a lovely little spot on the coast.
Popped over for a drink and a snack with a friend due to some lovely weather. You can sit under cover here, or outside on the tables. Such a nice period of weather we have been twice this last week. Fast service and tasty food. Both times we had sausagerolls, they were full of meat and tasty pastry, very fresh. My friend had coffee and I had a tasty San Pellegrino ice cold from the fridge. Dog friendly and we do enjoy interacting with these friendly dogs, even if they do ending up having a bite or three of my sausagerolls.
The food at this restaurant was excellent, but unfortunately, the lady serving us was incredibly rude. She refused to make an exception for my 6 year old son to have bacon and chips instead of ham and chips. We ended up having to buy ham, egg, and chips and a bacon roll so that my son could eat with us. Despite the great food, it would be beneficial for the staff to receive some training in hospitality.
I visited this restaurant spontaneously and ordered the "butchers made" steak burger with salad and fried onions, which cost an extra £1. The salad consisted of three thick slices of tomato and large pieces of lettuce. The burger did not live up to the expectation of being a true steak burger or made by a local butcher. My husband ordered a bacon and egg bap with a scant amount of onions for an additional £1. The meal also included a portion of below-average quality chips, bringing the total to £16.
Lovely stop over on way to rams gate on our bikes we had coffee and cake(mmmmmmm). Also a slush, on the way back we stopped if for two whippy ice creams. Nice place to sit and relax.
