Comfie bed. Big flat screen over the fireplace, and a second, bit smaller one in the bedroom. Balcony would have been great in slightly warmer temps. Good view over the village and of some of the slopes. Under construction when we attended which meant no underground parking available ... bit of a hike through the slush. Kitchen in the suite was great ... including dishwasher! All in all, we're thinking we might go back just for a getaway!
Attended a group trip at Blue Mountain Resorts in Ontario, Canada. This was an amazing experience. The Village was wonderful. Friendly people, nice shops, great restaurants, lots of activity to enjoy. Since this was my first ski trip, I don't have much to compare it to, but I can say that it was an amazing experience for me. The ski instructors were very helpful and ensured that everyone had a safe skiing experience. The prices for each activity was very affordable as well. I will definitely go back.
Just a heads up to anyone deciding this is a place you want to have " take your money " . Booked a weekend looking for romance and comfort with some daily outings .The website is fairly vague on exactly what you are getting however I booked .Not a cheap hotel arrangement , still not sure what i was getting however booked .Asked for some input in setting up some daily activities , they were of no help , didnt really care to offer any help and basically said its up to us to find what to do as " there is lots to do " .The conversation was barely over when they took my full payment for the two nights , no deposit just full payment .When it was discovered that the hotel we had was the wrong hotel , was not the one we requested , was not the one we had been at before we asked for a change to the one we requested .We were told we were out of luck , no changes , no cancelling , we were stuck with what we got . We had no choice . About 5 days before our supposed visit we met the misfortune of having to deal with a serious personal family matter .We took the time to explain and asked for either a compassion cancellation or a deferred set up .We were told no cancellation allowed and we had 24 hours to determine another date .So , 24 hours to put aside family matter and decide when we would like to enjoy THEIR conveniences .Oh and if the prices are higher at the new dates required they would gladly take our money . So her we are with a date we dont really want , at a hotel we dont really want , with a company we dont really want . They take your money , then ..... . Any buyers ?I
We went to Blue Mountain at the suggestion of family who visit every year. We enjoyed our stay, but felt it was very quiet, almost like closed season. There's no indication of this when booking. We also felt it was expensive to take part in the activities. We paid $33CAD to go on the lift to the top of the mountain, we then paid $33CAD to play miniature golf, it would've been another $33CAD per activity for the 2 of us to do any other activity. We felt it would've been better if there was some kind of multiple pass or day pass available. All in all we liked the place and had a very pleasant couple of days in the resort. There are some lovely little shops to browse in.
We recently spent our wedding anniversary in the "Village" staying in a village suite in the Grand Georgian. The first room we were assigned had some minor issues, but we were quickly relocated and upgraded by a very accommodating front desk staff member, Hamza. We enjoyed the proximity to pubs and restaurants without ever leaving the village.
