The bánh canh tôm cua was disappointing. The broth was bland, the noodles were overcooked, and the crab claws had very little meat. The fish cakes were too soft and had an odd aftertaste. The only positive aspect was the service. I wouldn't recommend this dish.
We ordered banh canh and all agreed it was among the best we've ever had. The customer service was outstanding as well. They took excellent care of our group of eight, and we were very pleased with the service we received.
There were far too many flies in this restaurant! It really ruined our experience and made it difficult to enjoy our meal. For the Banh Canh, there are two choices for the broth: thick or clear. We asked the waiter for his recommendation, and he suggested the thick option. Unfortunately, we weren't fans of the thick broth; it had a texture similar to egg yolk. Additionally, the Vietnamese iced coffee was a premixed version and was overly sweet for our taste!
The food here was fantastic, but no one spoke English, which made it a bit challenging to communicate our order. It took us about 10 minutes to get our choices across to the waiter, but they were very friendly. I'm grateful for the delicious meal! Now that I know what to order, I'll definitely come back. I highly recommend the #10 from the Jasmine Rice selection—grilled chicken, pork, and shrimp served with a salad. So yummy!
