High Tower Deli

I work on the AIG campus and I've been to this deli several times. The food is just ok and a step down from the Alonte deli that was here before. The food is a lot more expensive and they really nickel and dime you. Aside from that the employees are awesome, very personable and friendly, professional and welcoming. I would say that the employees kept me going for the past almost two years. Recently I've visited once this month since the old managers were let go. After yesterday I have no intentions of returning as long as I work on campus. The new management are not friendly at all and I don't get the warm and fuzzy feeling I used to. All the employees seem on edge and the energy is very cold as opposed to the warm welcoming energy you got before.

Today, Abel at High Tower really impressed me. I called just minutes after the breakfast bar had closed, and he went above and beyond to arrange for one of the chefs to prepare a tasty breakfast taco for me. It was ready by the time I got downstairs. Excellent customer service on his part!

The prices are steep, and the potato I ordered was hard and far from smooth—definitely not what I expected from a good potato.

It's a convenient and nearby spot to check out, but the selection is somewhat limited. Prices are reasonable.
