Great fish and chips joint. The fish cocktails were juicy and the calamari rings were cooked to perfection, however the salt and pepper squids were lacking some flavour. We’d come back for sure!
If you’re looking for a great place to enjoy the classic fish and chips or any other seafood item while visiting The Entrance, I highly recommend Big Tuna Fish. The quality and freshness of the seafood there is topnotch and testament to this is the line out the door even at 2PM in the afternoon.<br/ <br/ Prices are pretty reasonable compared to other beach-side fish and chip stores. Depending on the type of fish you choose, you can get fish and chips from $12.50 to about $17.50 (for salmon and tuna). However, I am a complete sucker for marinated grilled baby octopus – it has to be one of the things that I always always get when I eat at the Fish Markets.<br/ <br/ The octopus is just beautiful at Big Tuna Fish. The marinade is sweet and garlicy and the octopus itself is cooked to tender perfection.<br/ <br/ ...<br/ <br/ Full review at imhangry.net/2018/04/03/big-tuna-fish-co-the-entrance-nsw/
Stumbled across this place by chance on our Easter weekend travels. As far as fish and chips are concerned, I rate this very highly. Service was fast and efficient, ingredients were fresh, serve was generous and price overall was good value. Had the Barra, chips and salad and side of calamari between two and it was more than enough and definitely in my top 5 fish and chips experiences. Lucky I don't live any where close to this place as it could become a dangerous addiction.
The big value meal can feed a family of four, with some sides. Fish is caught fresh daily and the seafood is cooked well. Table service is welcoming. Long queue if you visit in school holidays.
