While beautifully presented and served by attentive staff, the meals, particularly the steaks, were tough and unappetizing. The "artistic" fries resembled a bird's nest and unfortunately tasted like one too. Hopefully, the culinary skills displayed at T.A.B.L.E.S do not carry over to the permanent hotel restaurant.
Came in on the weekend with my partner after seeing the vivid Sydney lights down at the rocks. Waiters very attentive the atmosphere well its a small restaurant/ dinning room possibly one of the function rooms in the hotel. Food Menu was small but nice ,wine menu was bigger. Would i go again?! probably not.
Ate here whilst staying at the hotel. The food was very average and expensive. Ordered spanner crab pasta and it tasted like a frozen weight watchers meal. Staff were ok apart from one waiter who was very stubborn about us ordering red wine with seafood. He was so persistent we ended up forgetting the wine and just having a beer. Great hotel but will not be returning to the restaurant.
Tables at the InterContinental Sydney is supposed to be on par with restaurants like the Glass Brasserie at the Hilton; it is meant to be fine dining with good ambiance.I went here for a business dinner with some colleagues and customers mid week. The good thing about this is that the restaurant is very quiet and therefore it is easy to talk. For starters there is no front counter or obvious place to wait to get seated. Given the odd triangular shape of the mezzanine where the restaurant is located, we found ourselves wondering through the dining room before staff were aware that we were there and seated us.In addition, there was no linen on the table cloth, which in this particular setting, cheapened the whole ambiance. The food itself was bland. I had meatballs with tomato sauce for entrees and then the only steak on the menu for mains. No dessert. The wine list was pretty good and the sommelier was quite helpful. This was probably the highlight of the night. The bill was quite high (roughly $300 per head). Overall, it was great from a privacy perspective, but nothing else about his experience was really that good. I personally believe that this restaurant has a lot more potential. I used to go here when I was a child with my parents; an I remembered it being a lot better and busier back then (about 20 years ago).
Pros (1) Interior is adequate for business lunches/ dinners (2) Gaps between Tables are good. More comfortable conversation atmosphere (3) Oyster was fresh (4) Beef Steak quality was very good - adquate cooking presentation/ good quality beef/ adquate cooking time. (5) not very crowded Cons (1) Waiters/ Waitresses service quality - there was a room to improve. (2) Pizza quality was so so. I did not like the pizza base. I like a thin base, but Tables pizza base was a bit thick ans not crispy at all. In spite of some defects, this restaurant is still a comfortable Australian cuisine restaurant for business meetings. The location of the restaurant is good. The only difficulty is that in front of Four Seasons Hotel, there is a tram construction is going on for a long time. It looks like construction sites, the main Street in Sydney. George Street. This is nothing to do with the hotel. The advantage of location of Four Seasons Hotel Sydney is very close to Circular Quay Sydney Harbour.
