Surf Shack Bay - The Vale of Glamorgan

After cycling around the valley, we ended up in Igore and had a meal at the Surf Shack. The food was very good and the prices were reasonable.

Every time I visit Ogmore, I always go to this restaurant. I can't go to the beach without getting their pizza now! The pizza is delicious and the staff are very friendly. It's a quirky and cool place. I love it.

This was our first time visiting The Shack. After watching pizzas being cooked several times and inquiring about the closing time on Saturday evenings (5:30, 6:30 depending on business), we decided to purchase a couple of pizzas. They are all handmade, very fresh, and cooked in a wood-fired oven. The variety of toppings is limited but well done. We ordered a couple of Benito's Specials and were impressed with the thin base and crispy crust. The Shack can get quite busy, with activity depending on the weather and beach crowds. They mentioned that they may have more frequent opening hours in the future, which is great. They also accept card payments (with a 50p charge). We will definitely be enjoying their pizza again.
