Both times, only one person serving the bar with around 8 people waiting to order food or drinks whilst other team members cleaned empty tables. All punters looked royally peed off. Clearly, the manager is not monitoring the bar and flexing staff accordingly. Went up the hill to the West End and was served within a few seconds despite the same number of people inside the pub.
Ordered steak sizzler no cheese so it came with cheese and one steak was overcooked so politely it was returned and replaced. Wouldn't order it again as not as expected. Burger burnt but replaced and not good. Chips and onion rings were lovely and staff were lovely.
Needs a good tidy and clean up. But very good price. A bottle of wine for £5.
Came here to have some food with my family and to hide from the sun. As we ordered on the app we weren't told there was a 45minut wait. Our drink took over half an hour to come. In the end my partner asked a member of staff where our drinks were and why it was taking so long, to be explained to go to the bar as we ordered on the app as she didn't know. He then did this and carried them back over to our table where we waited even longer for our food. Our food was fine no complaints but no communication, no service. Not the best place.
The food at this restaurant was awful. I work in a kitchen that serves 400 children per hour, and our food is always freshly cooked with high-quality ingredients. We ordered a tomato pasta for my son, but it was so dry that you could pick up the entire dish in a clump. The lack of sauce was very disappointing. There is no excuse for serving pasta with so little sauce. It was obvious that the dish had been microwaved. I will not be returning to this restaurant.
