Willie Jewell’s Old School B-q

Pretty good barbecue although the fried pickles were too salty to eat. The barbecue sauces are excellent. The restaurant was very clean and service was efficient. A great place to enjoy your favorite sporting events. This restaurant has a great history, which is posted near the entrance. Would have rated this restaurant with a 5 if our meal would have been served warm or hot (the meat was cool to the touch). Looking forward to a future visit,

Great place! Friendly, clean atmosphere, many Gluten Free options including a GF bun for burgers. My all time fave ?side of the day? is mashed sweet potatoes. Sassy and sweet sauce is oh so good! Never disappointed at the hometown bbq taste of this place ??

First time eating here at Willie Jewels. I ordered the 3 meat platter, I got ribs, brisket and sausage. Sides were baked beans and Mac n cheese! First, the ribs were spot on, the flavor was great! The sausage was also good, but the brisket was disappointing. It was dry and didn?t have much flavor. The Mac n cheese wasn?t spectacular and while the beans tasted great, to me they should have been cooked a little longer. I?ll def go back to try other items and I will give thebrisket another shot.

I love BBQ, I always give places a second chance. Maybe the cook was having a bad day the first time I went. I've been to every single local BBQ place within 50 miles of my home and work. Food trucks included. The nicest way I can say this is my sides, the Mac n Cheese and Corn Nuggets, were better than the pulled pork. There were some crunchy burnt ends and more fat than I've ever seen in pulled pork. It made the sandwich taste funny and I didn't even make it half waythrough before I tossed the rest. Unfortunately it's the only bbq I can get to on my lunch break. ???? The first time was better, but I still remember the sides being the best part. Let me add though. The staff are very nice and friendly.The place is very clean. I wish them the best of luck.

We visited this establishment for the very first time, today, for an early lunch. It was a great experience! Inviting vibe and whimsical decor. Staff was super friendly, food was terrific, facility was spotless, and prices were very reasonable; especially considering the portion sizes. (I also saw a list of daily specials. I ordered the Bird-Dog Stacker (smoked turkey sausage sandwich, baked beans, cole slaw, and a Jai Alai to drink. I was pleasantly surprised tosee 2 IPAs on tap. I also tried the Low Country Gold and Sweet Sassy BBQ sauces; served warm. Liked 'em both. Hope to try the pulled pork, next time. Definitely worth checking it out.
