Back Table Kitchen - The Woodlands

I decided to try this place for an early birthday dinner with someone special. The food and drinks were wonderful, and they even sang for me! I received a complimentary drink, and the service was excellent. It was a fantastic night out.

I had already read the reviews and suspected our experience might not be the best. Unfortunately, the reviews were spot on. Everything fell short. The noise level was horrendous, there were mistakes with our orders due to the waitress's inability to hear properly, and the food was just average. What puzzles me is that despite the abundance of negative feedback, there seems to be no effort to improve. It's quite odd. This is a beautiful resort, and as locals, we've witnessed its evolution over the years. However, this restaurant is definitely its weak point. Perhaps the popular outdoor happy hour is what keeps this place afloat.

The smoked chicken wings and Brussels sprouts were excellent. The service was fantastic, and I can't believe I forgot to mention the smoked old fashion cocktails. Our server, Rebecca, was outstanding. I will definitely be returning!

Though our reservations were set for indoor dining, the weather inspired us to ask (once we were seated) if we could move outdoors for al fresco dining. The staff was more than happy to accommodate. The hot, delicious food and pleasant service combined to make our 10th anniversary an occasion to remember.

I was highly impressed with the service provided. We dined on behalf of my husbands 30th birthday and all expectations were met. The food was fantastic and the service/staff were friendly and attentive. We will be back. Thank you
