Black Walnut Café The Woodlands

This place was great! There is a ton of parking and seating and the line to order at the counter was pretty short. The menu has lots of variety and our food came out within 5-10 minutes. The chipotle chicken pepper pasta was absolutely delicious and cameas a huge portion. Everything seems to be priced reasonably and the atmosphere was great!

I absolutely loved my visit to Black Walnut! Other than having an extensive menu, the inside of the restaurant is beautiful and well decorated. It is casual dine in but with an elegant twist! (Order and seat yourself). The Birria Tacos were delicious!! Iwould have not imagined they were coated with so much flavor, and I would enjoy every last bite of them. This will definitelynot be my last time coming here, and I?m so excited to try my next dish here! After our lunch, we did help ourselves to theirgelato selection. It was delicious and hit just the spot. Family friendly, not so packed/crowded and very attentive customerservice.

The atmosphere wasn’t ideal. Our food was served in an awkward manner since we were meant to collect it ourselves, and there were a few mix-ups where the wrong dishes were brought to our table. On the bright side, the pasta was delicious, and the staff were friendly. However, there was an older man at the bar who was making unwanted advances toward women, which made the environment uncomfortable. It was fine since I was with friends, but this could become an issue for families dining there. I don’t want to judge the place too harshly, as we did arrive right when the service started, and the food was genuinely good. Perhaps things would be better at a different time. The staff were polite and courteous, which is why I’m giving it a four-star rating. I hope this review helps!

This restaurant is an excellent choice for breakfast or brunch, offering a wide range of options suitable for all dietary preferences. It's the first breakfast spot I've encountered that features a gluten-friendly item on the menu. They serve classic American breakfast dishes alongside Benedicts, omelets, and an extensive selection of beverages. I ordered the chef's special breakfast dish, and it was so delicious that I couldn't even tell it was gluten-friendly. We also sampled the Nashville Benedict, which was fantastic and surprisingly light. Overall, it’s a fun place with great food, and I will definitely return.

The pancakes were the best I've ever had, and the syrup was incredibly tasty, complementing the flavor of the pancakes perfectly. The bacon was wonderfully crispy, and the coffee was delicious. I will definitely be returning!
